Radio
I am an award-winning radio producer with over twenty years’ experience
at the BBC and independent productions.
Between the Ears: Noise, broadcast on Radio 3 in 2022, is a sonic trip through our on-hold, tick-box, automated world which turns bureaucracy into music. It made Radio 4's Pick of the Week, was also pick of the week in the Times and Sunday Times, and was described by the Radio Times's Simon O'Hagan as 'the best radio I've heard in a long time'. In 2023 it won Gold in the category of Sound Art at the New York Festivals Radio Awards.
I made the five-part series How to Win a Campaign presented by the former Downing Street adviser Cleo Watson for Radio 4 in 2023. It received extensive press coverage and featured on Pick of the Week. I also produced a follow-up programme presented by Cleo with Helen MacNamara, How to Prepare for Government, in 2024.
I co-produced the Radio 4 series 1922: The Birth of Now, which was also widely featured and reviewed and also made Pick of the Week.

During my freelance and staff producer career I have worked on Start the Week, In Our Time, Free Thinking, Front Row, Woman’s Hour, and documentaries including Positive Thinking, The Spark, and New Generation Thinker features. I have also worked on Outlook on the World Service and produced broadcasts from the Oxford Literary Festival and Hay Festival.

I have produced numerous specials including editions of Free Thinking on money as object and idea, small pleasures, as well as two specials on authority in the age of populism and the role of the state as part of the LSE Festival of Ideas; an edition of Start the Week from Stockholm for the centenary of the Nobel Prize, and another from Moscow on the eve of the 2004 presidential election.

I have also made podcasts for the London Review of Books.
